Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart make up the Chainsmokers an American DJ/production duo. The two met through their manager who was then Alex’s manager. They immediately quit their jobs and settled in New York to focus on their dream and build a future around dance/electronic music. They have amassed so much honor in 2018 from releasing several top hits and obtaining numerous awards. The “Everybody hates me” hitmakers have hit the headlines after their march audio-only Track garnered 9 million views on Youtube in less than a month.
In the Billboard Music Awards that were held on Sunday, the duo paid tribute to the beloved Swedish DJ who had lost his life to Mental illness. They dedicated their award for the best dance/electronic act to him saying; they are where they are today because Avicii encouraged them to believe in themselves. He inspired them to be successful pop artists and they would miss him. Halsey, the star of the moment who collaborated with them on “Closer” and had accompanied encouraged the audience to watch out for their family and friends with Mental health issues, showing them love and supporting them the best way they know how to.
Tim Bergling, who was internationally known by his stage name, Avicii died on 20th April and his family revealed that he was mentally ill thus committing suicide. According to the president of Geffen Records, a label he worked with, his unreleased Tracks may be released. He is an Icon in the pop music industry and will be overwhelmingly missed by his fans and the EDM community in General.
The Chainsmokers are setting the bar high for other artists in the industry by having great visuals for their shows. In a recent show in Miami, the duo had an electrifying concert making all their fans happy. They performed both new songs and their commercial hits alongside electro mashups. Their handwork is paying off now that their efforts are being rewarded. In March this year, the iHeartRadio awards accorded them four awards marking it one of their high points this year. The legendary producer, Emilio Estefan, is here to present Norka Luque. Norka is a Venezuelan based in the United States. The name Norka was given to her in honor of her loving mother.
Her mother says that Norka was born of music. While she was a baby, she could catch sleep in the presence of music. If music is turned off, she will cry. While she was eight, she had the opportunity to represent her local school in a singing competition. Norka earned great prizes and got the chance to record her first song “Shankira Anthology.” This was the beginning of a lifetime career in music. While she was motivated with this result, she kept pressing her mother to take her in for music lessons.
Because they believed in her talent, her parents decided to sacrifice ad pay for the music lessons. She went for the lessons after her elementary classes as a junior student. Music lessons were expensive. However, her parents were convicted by the idea that their daughter would become a star in future. Therefore, they took care of the talent until she was grown. Norka finished her high school education. It was time to further her studies in university.
Norka got the chance to fly to France and attend the University of France. She went to further her education in business Administration. However much she wanted to excel in academics, something kept reminding her of her talent music. She believed in miracles. She is convinced about the actual nature of music. When talent knocks at your door, you will leave behind all you do to follow your passions. That is what happened to her. While she was still studying at the University, she decided to join the local band Bad Moon Rising in France and extend her music career in the country.
The group gave her a position to sing as a soloist. This was a very influential position in the band that earned her recognition. Because of her talent, the band got recognized. They had numerous shows in the night clubs. However, the people in France do not know talent. For this reason, he flew back to the United States after completing education. She had the entire time to concentrate on music. While in America, she met with the legendary producer Emilio Estefan. She pleaded to have her attention and showed him what she had. Emilio liked her work and extended an invitation to the studio to develop a music force.
